Who needs this
Sound familiar?
Payroll takes you an evening every month
Hours, deductions, payslips, then the HMRC report. It's time you could be at the pub with the boys.
You're not sure about pensions
Every employer has to put eligible staff into a workplace pension. The Pensions Regulator fines employers who don't.
A subbie works like an employee
If they work set hours on your jobs, with your tools, HMRC can say they're an employee, and you'd owe the tax.
The payday report goes in late
HMRC can fine you for each month it's late, and the more people you employ, the bigger the fine.
The process
How we do it
Names, pay and start dates. We set everyone up, pensions included.
Overtime, a new starter, someone leaving. A text or an email is enough.
Payslips go out, HMRC gets its report, and you know what to pay them and by when.

Payroll questions
Do I need payroll if it's just me?
If you're a company director who takes a salary, yes. We'll set it up and work out the best salary for you.
Should my regular subbies be on payroll?
It depends on how they work for you. If they work set hours, use your tools and can't send someone else in their place, HMRC may say they're employees. We'll look at it with you.
Who has to be in a workplace pension?
Staff aged 22 or over, under State Pension age, who earn more than £10,000 a year. Others can ask to join.
What if someone starts or leaves mid-month?
Tell us and we'll handle it, including the forms they need.
